UCL Accommodation: Essential Information for Students
Applying for Accommodation
If you're planning to study at UCL, it's important to secure accommodation as early as possible. UCL Accommodation manages approximately 8000 beds across London every year, providing a range of options for students.
All students under 18 years old or in their first year of study are guaranteed accommodation. The UCL Accommodation portal opens in March, and undergraduates have until Monday 10 June 2024 to apply.
Types of Accommodation
UCL Accommodation offers a wide variety of room types, including single and shared rooms in traditional halls, self-catering flats, and intercollegiate halls. Halls are conveniently located in central London and Stratford, ensuring easy access to university facilities and amenities.
Halls
Halls are traditional student accommodation options, providing a vibrant and social environment. They typically offer shared kitchens and common areas, fostering a sense of community among residents.
Houses
Houses provide a more independent living experience, with self-catering facilities and private bedrooms. They are ideal for students who prefer a quieter and more private setting.
Intercollegiate Halls
Intercollegiate halls are run by UCL in partnership with other universities. They offer a mix of traditional halls and modern apartments, catering to students from diverse backgrounds.
