Lando Norris Takes on Silverstone Circuit in a Life-Size LEGO® Technic™ McLaren P1™
McLaren F1 driver Lando Norris got behind the wheel of a life-size LEGO® Technic™ McLaren P1™ at the Silverstone Circuit.
The model, which took over 18 months to build, is made up of over 400,000 LEGO® Technic™ elements and weighs over 1,500kg.
Norris took the car for a spin around the Silverstone Circuit, and was impressed with its performance.
"It's amazing how well it drives," said Norris after his test drive. "It's like driving the real thing."
The LEGO® Technic™ McLaren P1™ is a faithful recreation of the real car, and features a host of authentic details, including a working V8 engine, a functioning suspension system, and a deployable rear wing.
The model is also equipped with a range of lights and sound effects, which add to the realism of the driving experience.
Norris's test drive is the latest in a series of events to mark the 10th anniversary of the LEGO® Technic™ McLaren P1™.
The model was first launched in 2013, and has since become one of the most popular LEGO® Technic™ sets ever released.
To celebrate the anniversary, LEGO® has released a new version of the model, which includes a number of updated features, such as a new colour scheme and a more detailed interior.
